Boomtown App
Player's Name: pash
Are you over 16?: Yes
Characters Played Here: Aramat Drawdes, The Warden
Character: Eda
Series/Canon: Black Lagoon
From When?: Before the 'Roberta's Blood Trail' Arc, or somewhat after the second season is over.
Previous Game(s): Carpe Ho Ras @ LJ
History: lagooncompany.wikia.com/wiki/Eda
In the mansion, Eda went through several things. She briefly dated a serial killer (that she didn't know was a serial killer), worked for the mansion guard part-time on night watch, got close to a Space Cowboy known as Mal Reynolds, and was looking toward also working as a prison guard in Warden's fledging Superjail II, but was fluxed before she had the chance.
Personality: As a citizen of possibly the most corrupt place on earth in her canon, Eda is often concerned with the bottom line most of the time. (Read: Money.) But that is relatively common where's she's from. On the surface, it doesn't seem like Eda's nothing more than a wild, halfway drunk party girl that loves screwing people out their money (and playing target practice on them if it doesn't pay up). She's crude, hot-headed, snide, and often bawdy towards nearly everyone. Eda prides herself in knowing everything about everyone around her and can often be counted on for some juicy gossip. Her loyalties usually don't stretch much beyond whoever she's partnering with or (seven times out of ten, it's Revy.) her Employers, the Church of Violence.
However, underneath that is a ruthlessly cold C.I.A. undercover agent willing to do anything, no matter how awful to get the job done, keep the status quo in Roanapur, or/and keep her position secret. She is fairly numb to violence and the darker side of life. (The typist thinks she was possibly assigned there because she was far too violent and cold-hearted for most Domestic and regular field work and the higher ups pretty much expected her to die over there at first.)
The work has taken it's toll on her, pretty much forcing Eda to cling to the 'Nun' persona she created to fool people in Roanapur. She fears that once that mask is taken off, there wouldn't be much of anything underneath it but a impersonal, almost emotionless machine purely for work.
In the Mansion, Eda has mellowed out quite a bit. (Aside from the odd crazy thing every once in a while, it was a rather calm place compared to Roanapur.) She still depends on hiding under the Nun persona, but some real emotion has come out, still in a rather calm, detached way, but still.
Does your character have any close ties to existing canon characters?: N/A
Why do you think your character would work in this setting?: Eda will flux in from the mansion and will try to get used to life to New Dodge as quickly as possible. After all, part of her talent is being adaptable to new and strange places.
What will your character do for work?: Eda will most likely take a guard or a hunting job of some sort. Anything that involves waving her gun around.
Inventory: A small duffle bag with a few casual shirts, jeans, a pair of (fittingly enough) cowboy boots, socks and some pairs of underwear. She'll also come in with her gun, a Glock 17L and a pretty good amount of ammo.
Samples:
Third-Person Sample: She didn't go expecting to be in a another world entirely. All Eda did was go to sleep in her room.
First-Person Sample:
Ever get the feelin' that you've been pulled out somewhere? I mean, kidnapped is a strong fucking word but that's about it? Of course, y'all gave a name to it, 'fluxing'. I just call it 'abduction by science'.
But it's fine... the last place I was in kidnapped me too. What is with these places? They don't recognize that people have jobs or things to do in their own worlds, they get kidnap ya. No ands, if's, or but's.
Don't mind me though, I'm just ventin'. Blowin off steam.

She'd been avoiding the mansion and it's people for the most part, she just felt like she needed some space, and it was rare in Roanapur to even get that so Eda doesn't take it for granted.
She tried to to fit in with others here, but sometimes the difference was obvious as anything. This place is too calm, too normal. And when shit REALLY DOES happen in this place, she barely expects it. Roanapur's constant chaos was predictable that way, reliable as clockwork or red tape from bureaucrats. She feels that she really shouldn't be complaining about this, fighting for your life and being forced to do awful things just for a job isn't necessarily something to look forward to.
But once you get into that pit, you never really come out of it. And Eda has never been good with boredom in her life.
She awakens near a storefront, nearby there's a bag full of her things and luckily her gun is on her. (And some pants, as Eda usually just sleeps in her underwear and a shirt.) But it's still unfamiliar as hell, looks like something straight out a western movie her folks were so fond of.
She damn near expects John Wayne to pop up around here somewhere, but no, just dirt roads and shop fronts. Although this place feels even stranger for some other reason Eda can't put her finger on. Her intuition was somewhat reliable, saved her ass plenty of times before.
But somehow she gets the feeling even her intuition can't actually explain this. So she's here in this new place, unsure of what comes next here.
It's an unfamiliar feeling... Eda doesn't like it one fucking bit.
