PERSONALITY: To understand Eda, first you have to understand the city known as Roanapur. Quite possibly the most corrupt place on earth, filled with nearly every single 'crooked city' trope in existence. But what else can you expect when the city is practically run by every single criminal organization in the world, all of them ruthless, money-hungry, and thirsty for power. And in all honesty, there isn't a truly decent soul in the place.

In this powderkeg of a wretched hive, there is The Church of Violence. A weapons selling and drug smuggling operation whose cover that operates as shockingly enough, a catholic church. They sell to everyone and damn near anyone, as long as you got the cash. Since they seem to be the only business in town, they do tend to jack up their rates, earning the group another name: 'The Rip-Off Church'.

Within this organization, there's a seller named Eda.

Eda is often concerned with the bottom line most of the time. (Read: Money.) But that is relatively common where's she's from.

On the surface, it does seem like Eda's nothing more than a wild, halfway drunk party girl that loves screwing people out their money (and playing target practice on them if it doesn't pay up). She doesn't think much about the morals that she carelessly tosses away just to make her earnings, as shown as she manipulated a desperate hacker and counterfeit named Jane, who was running for her life to hire Revy and her for bodyguards during the fourth and fifth episode of the second season. Her mouth is VERY salty and could almost be considered uncouth and rude by more 'well-mannered' people.

She can be hot-headed when the shit goes down or when not shown proper respect as shown in episode four of the second season while yelling at a fellow member of the church for not calling her the proper title. (They were also in the middle of a gunfight too, so that may have had something to do with it.) She's still better than Revy in keeping a cool head though.

She is often shown to have a carefree, almost lackadaisical manner to her sometimes. She is known for being quite the troll, often targeting Revy because it's easy to wind her up, and Eda seems to be the only person that can get away with it. As seen in the 1st, 4th and 12th episode of the second season. She is flirty, and very confident in her looks and fighting skill. Revy comments in the 4th episode of the 2nd season that she tends to sleep around. But Revy was pissed that she was flirting with Rock and that should be taken with a grain of salt.

Despite this, she is smart enough to fold when things get a little too hot, as seen in episode 3 of the 2nd season when someone held her hostage (and disturbingly enough, groped her) and asked Eda to find an escape route out of the city for them. And despite being violent in a city that demands it, Eda values money more than bloodshed, as seen in episode 2 of 2nd season when she she and Revy were hunting a bounty together and the target threw double the amount at them to get them off their backs. It gave Eda pause.

However most of that is sort of moot, considering she is not what she appears to be.

When it comes to business (which often goes hand in hand with violence), she is efficient, even ruthlessly so. She will draw her gun at anyone that threatens to get in the way of it, as seen in episode 7 of the 1st season as she was completely willing to shoot her only friend when a weapons deal had seemed to have gone sour. As a C.I.A. operative, she is counted on to keep things running smoothly in the city they allow to exist. Be that killing a person to keep her cover as seen in episode 6 of the 2nd season, or just merely being a cog in the well oiled hidden machine that keeps Roanapur running and flowing with information and using certain bosses to handle certain operations. (We finally get to see hints of this throughout all 5 episodes of the OVA.)

In short, Eda is sort of an enigma in canon. Her 'true' personality isn't seen much in canon, as well as her true intentions aside from doing the C.I.A.'s bidding and making money. Despite all this, Eda never shows any apprehension about the place she was assigned to work in, and pretty much fits in the city like a glove. (Whether it's a matter of 'becoming the mask' or simply being that good of an actress is unclear.) Once upon a time she might've wanted to do questionable or bad things for the good of her nation, but all the idealism was most likely ground out of her a long time ago before she even came to Roanapur. Unless she has to play nice with others (or is paid enough) she has no true connections with others and wouldn't mind throwing others under a bus if they are troublesome enough or get in her way.

Even though there is still all this mystery involving her real 'self', the following is true: she's a damn good shot and will do anything she's paid to do.

Basically a combat barbie doll. Moderately tall (5'7) but her figure and manner make her look more statuesque than she really is. She's got long golden blonde hair (which for practical purposes will be lopped off into shorter hair as soon as she arrives), a pair of striking blue eyes, that she always hides underneath shades or glasses of some sort, a slightly big straight nose and thin lips.There's a shield like tattoo on her upper arm. She's rather busty and curvy, but it's tempered with a decent amount of muscle as well.

Strengths:

Eda takes a lot of pride in being adaptable in most places and being able to adjust rather easily in wherever place she might be, adopting the customs and languages, almost seamlessly integrating into the daily life of a lot of places. (Of course being what she really is, it's a talent that is practically required.)

Despite her seemingly carefree and very informal manner, she is actually rather careful and calculating, especially when listening to someone and tries to listen for important things and to be sure to be convincing enough to fool whoever she's speaking to. She prefers people to not know her real thoughts, goals, or even emotions.

POWER:

~~Kinetic Touch~~

Eda can imbue any object with kinetic energy by touch of her hand and touch only. She can control how much energy the object can receive. For instance, small objects such pens, and small spheres held in the hand can gain energy and thrown to cause damage. This also goes toward objects that hold other smaller objects such as arrows and guns. So naturally she goes towards projectiles as weapons.

Granted, this power does have it's limits. Eda can only hold the object in her hand without protection such as gloves for thirty minutes while the power is activated before the object explodes in her hand. So she often has to turn it on and off, so her attacks tend to vary in power.

Guide The Bullet, Sorta

Eda has limited telekinetic powers. She can't lift anything heavier than a 5 pound/2 kilogram dumbell, naturally with her kinetic power this would lend to some crazy gun/projectile potential, right? Not really, her mental powers aren't developed enough to guide a bullets or a already moving things trajectory yet. Of course she is working on that.

Apparently she's been turned into a superhero by transporting into this bizzaro as fuck alternate universe. It's extremely telling that the only negative reaction she's had to this new place, these new people, and these new powers is the fact she's assigned to a regular nine-to-five. That, according to her is bullshit and it bores her death. (Listen, she was trained to fit in damn near any situation her superiors put her in. She wouldn't be good at her job if she wasn't. But that comes with excitement and the sweet smell of gunpowder and blood.) But everyone has to start somewhere and at least it pays.

At least there's the promise of missions to keep the boredom away. In the meantime, she hangs about her room spinning what looks to be small metal spheres no bigger than glass marbles. If someone new comes in wondering what happens with those spheres, look no further that the wall across riddled with cracks and the clear imprint of the metal spheres. Eda is 'itching' for something exciting and one day she just thinks about taking out this entire wall. She looks over at the stranger in her room, eerily calm.

Abilities and Nerfs:

Eda's a baseline human, but she ain't entirely made of squish. (Unless you're talking about the tits.)

- Firearms Expert: Due to her experience in weapon selling, knows quite a bit about guns and knows how to use them effectively.
- Wheeler and Dealer: Also due to her experience in weapons selling, she knows how to haggle for a price and perhaps rip someone off if she feels like it.
- Hand to Hand Combat: While not shown much in canon, Eda can fight someone to a standstill. (And the person in canon wasn't just anybody, it was Roberta son.) Black Lagoon is the sort of series obstinately based in the real world, but has 'action movie' logic. Combat capable people can jump higher, only seem to reload in tense scenes, and if good enough, just one or two can wipe out a small army of armed normal humans.

Inventory:
- Her clothes, which are a crop top, sunglasses, jean skirt, sandals, headband, bracelets, and panties.
- Her gun, a Glock 17L, and a chest holster with a few clips.
- Some pocket change, a hundred American Dollars.

Age: Early to Mid Thirties (I say around 30-35ish)

Description:

Basically a combat barbie doll. Moderately tall (5'7) but her figure and manner make her look more statuesque than she really is. She's got long golden blonde hair, a pair of striking blue eyes, that she always hides underneath shades or glasses of some sort, a slightly big straight nose and thin lips. There's a slightly muscular frame on her with tig ol bitties, nice legs, a good respectable butt and zero shame about showing it off in skimpy clothes when not in work in her normal nun habit. (And trust us, it's just gonna get worse since she's in hell.)

Her voice is rough, but rather smooth for a lady that makes her living the way she does.

Physical changes:

-Her sclera will be black, only making her eyes stand out more. (And give her more reason to wear sunglasses all the time.)
-Also she might have a hole in the side of her head. The entry wound is small, and can be hidden in her hair but the exit is a bloody, fleshy mess.

Powers:

Eda's a baseline human, but she ain't entirely made of squish. (Unless you're talking about the tits.)

- Firearms Expert: Due to her experience in weapon selling, knows quite a bit about guns and knows how to use them effectively.

- Wheeler and Dealer: Also due to her experience in weapons selling, she knows how to haggle for a price and perhaps rip someone off if she feels like it.

- Hand to Hand Combat: While not shown much in canon, Eda can fight someone to a standstill. (And the person in canon wasn't just anybody, it was Roberta son.) Black Lagoon is the sort of series obstinately based in the real world, but has 'action movie' logic. Combat capable people can jump higher, only seem to reload in tense scenes, and if good enough, just one or two can wipe out a small army.

Hell Status: Hell Newbie

What Brings Them To Hell:

It's been said that Roanapur is in one person's words: 'The final stop on the way to hell.' And it's pretty correct at that, it's quite possibly the most corrupt place on earth, filled with nearly every single 'crooked city' trope in existence. But what else can you expect when the city is practically run by every single criminal organization in the world, all of them ruthless, money hungry, and thirsty for power. And in all honesty, there isn't a truly decent soul in the place.

No one willingly lives and makes their living in that place comes out clean in the end when their time is called and many that live in that city are aware of that.

Eda has sold guns to various unsavory folk, shot some of those unsavory folk mostly for monetary reasons, and generally gives no fucks unless it involves money, violence, the occasional sexual vice (despite what Revy says), and booze. That's also not counting her double life, which involves some complicated politics, a lotta bloodshed, people getting fucked over (and entire nations as well). Everyone has to make a living, but it doesn't promise a pretty fluffy cloud heaven when someone finally decides to put a bullet in your brain for all the trouble you and your organization have caused.

And like the other denizens of Roanapur, she accepted that for the most part.

The Pitch:

Do ya wanna bitch that drinks, smokes and pretty much is all about the money? (In canon someone throwing wads of cash at her gave her pause when she was supposed to shoot them, that is all.) Does a lady that takes her utter lack of morals with a carefree, sorta friendly, almost lackadaisical manner appeal to you? Would you like a troll, with the ability to rile some people up for little other reason that it's damn fun? Does a woman that gleefully misquotes bible verses, has quip for everything and at least every third word is a curse word? (Although the cursing thing is a very Roanapurian thing.) Despite all the evidence to the contrary, do you need a woman that still actually somewhat has her head on straight compared to most of her contemporaries in Roanapur? (Or is at least one of the few people in town that wouldn't go on a shooting spree? What? It's bad for business!)

Eda may or may not be the woman you ask for in hell!

But no really, considering most of what we see of her in Roanapur is an act, she's actually kind of an enigma of a person since we have never seen much of her while working for the C.I.A. She's efficient, even coldly so, very to the point, and may in fact be even more of an emptier, darker, manipulative, and an even more greedy shell than what she presents herself to be.

Sometimes she reflects on this, but not often.

Once upon a time she might've wanted to do questionable or bad things for the good of her nation, but all the idealism was most likely ground out of her a long time ago before she even came to Roanapur. Unless she has to play nice with others (or is paid enough) she has no true connections with others and wouldn't mind throwing others under a bus if they are troublesome enough or get in her way. Altruism and kindness is dead, so shut up and fucking pay me. After all, she willingly stays in Roanapur- the shithole of the world, a place filled with violence, just for the money.

Even though there is still all this mystery involving her real 'self', the following is true: she's a damn good shot and will do anything she's paid to do.

Setting Fit:

Eda would fit in Little Hades pretty well, seeing as it's mostly like Roanapur except the the temperature is raised to triple digits. She will get a job or maybe even a couple of em as soon as she can because living in the Hive ain't her fuckin' style.

She also might be interested in procuring weapons and gathering/spreading ~~rumors~~ information in hell. it's a bunch of sinners with nothing else to do, why not give em guns and see what happens?

Personality:

To understand Eda, first you have to understand the city known as Roanapur. Quite possibly the most corrupt place on earth, filled with nearly every single 'crooked city' trope in existence. But what else can you expect when the city is practically run by every single criminal organization in the world, all of them ruthless, money hungry, and thirsty for power. And in all honesty, there isn't a truly decent soul in the place.

Within this organization there's a seller named Eda.

Eda is often concerned with the bottom line most of the time. (Read: Money.) But that is relatively common where's she's from.

However most of that is sort of moot, considering she is not what she appears to be.

In short, Eda is sort of an enigma in canon. Her 'true' personality isn't seen, as well as her true intentions aside from doing the C.I.A.'s bidding and making money. Despite all this, Eda never shows any apprehension about the place she was assigned to work in, and pretty much fits in the city like a glove. (Whether it's a matter of 'becoming the mask' or simply being that good of an actress is unclear.)

Even though there is still all this mystery involving her real 'self', the following is true: she's a damn good shot and will do anything she's paid to do.

She doesn't show it much, but she does seem to have a inner life other than what she shows on the outside. Eda mostly lives by two rules, 1. Money above everything and 2. Fuck people over before they fuck you. One could say she doesn't feel much of anything on the inside, Eda would say she chooses what effects her emotionally and turns out, not much does. She generally accepts what she has to do and acknowledges that some of it is wrong, but hey. One has to make a living. Still, she does have a small amount of moral standards on occasion. (Just don't count on it showing up much.)

She was promised that the music labels were rich and there was an opportunity to rob them and possibly see other planets and cities. It's basically just for money and possible thrills. She's not here for you brainwashed folks, she's here for herself, and all of you are essentially just a job.
